Overview: Living in Southern Maine

Named “America’s Most Livable City” by Forbes and “Foodiest Small Town in America” by Bon Appetit, Portland is the city on every list. A rustic port hosts a cool cultural scene—with outdoor adventure all around. UNE’s classic New England campus is just 10 minutes from downtown. On the Portland Campus you'll find UNE’s College of Dental Medicine, School of Pharmacy, and many (but not all) Westbrook College of Health Professions programs.

UNE is the only U.S. university with a campus in Morocco. UNE’s Morocco Campus features modern labs and accommodations, and was created so that students of the sciences could spend a semester abroad and still stay on track to graduate on time. Situated in the heart of Tangier, a cultural crossroads on the Mediterranean, the campus offers easy access to beaches, downtown and cultural attractions.
